WOW--it's the 2nd Quarter Already. Here is a Business Planning Sheet for You

I don't know about you, but for me, January, February, and March 2022 sped by like a blur.

Here we are at the first Monday of the month and the beginning of the 2nd quarter of business for the year.

When I first started my business, I didn't pay attention to quarters at all. I just added up my sales at the end of the year, noted the increase and improvement over the previous year, and filed my taxes.

At a certain point of growth, though, it's important to notice your improvements by QUARTER instead of the year. This allows you to make adjustments and improvements and keep your business on the success track.

When I started looking at my business by QUARTERS, it was easier to fix the things that weren't working and focus on the parts of my business that I enjoyed and were profitable. Even if you don't own a business, this type of reflection and planning really works because you stay on top of the results instead of letting an entire year pass.

If you work for yourself, obviously the results could mean a higher income and a business you enjoy, if you work for someone else, chances are your colleagues do what everyone else does. The results for you could mean the ability to request a raise or promotion.

Either way, it's very powerful to know your numbers.

The first year that I tracked quarterly growth, I did it via my bookkeeper's reports. After that, I looked for a more attractive planning method. If you know me, you know I like pretty papers.

Well, after exhausting myself looking for the perfect pretty planner, I gave up and created one myself. This one is customized to what I pay attention to and the intentions I've set for my business.
